RegenTV is an online repository of ecological restoration case studies filmed at field trips, forums and seminars. With over 6 hours of footage across 22 clips this comprehensive and inspirational collection of videos captures the depth of experience of a number of people involved in restoration across a wide range of Australian ecological landscapes. RegenTV was developed by the Australian Association of Bush Regenerators with the support of the NSW Government through its Environmental Trust Education Grants.

Where to get help for flood affected farmers flooded farmland

The NSW Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI) and Local Land Services (LLS) are coordinating and providing recovery assistance and advice to landholders, primary producers, commercial fishers, and other industries impacted by the severe weather.

Primary producers who require assistance with livestock welfare, pastures, land management advice, or who wish to report damage should contact Local Land Services - telephone: 1300 795 299

DPI Rural Resilience Officers also provide information on support available for farming families recovering from natural disasters and can connect you to relevant service providers.

The Environmental Education program of the NSW Environmental Trust is now inviting Expressions of Interest. The funding stream is open to not-for-profit organisations, community organisations and government authorities. Projects need to be values between $10,000 and $100,000 and between 2-3 years. EOI's close April 10th 2017.

For a number of years Landcare groups have been asking for cost effective insurance that provides adequate protection for group members. The package is offered in two teirs depending on the income and employer status of the group. The Insurance Program provides Public Liability and Volunteer Workers coverage PLUS Association Liability (if applicable) which covers a range of risks including Professional Indemnity, Officers & Directors Liability and more.

Embracing New Technology in Landcare drone farming

Are you interesting in utilising drones to support your farm management or Landcare project? Drone use can assist in checking crop or stock status, surveying weed incursions, provide data for crop analysis mapping and enable you to survey your sites from a distance.

North Coast TAFE is inviting expressions of interest for a course in drone use to be held at Wollongbar campus in Semester two this year. Northern Rivers Intrepid Landcare Event April 9th  intrepid

This Grass 'n' Creeks event has been created by young people, for young people, to act & lead with Landcare! Our new local Intrepid group are excited to be working with Whian Whian Landcare and the Dorrobee Grass Reserve Trust to bring forth this day of Landcare, connecting to country, munching on local food, making new friends, and most of all, fun!

Sunday, April 9 at 8:45 AM - 6 PM
The day will be shared across two locations, a Whian Whian Landcare site & the Dorrobbee Grass Trust Reserve
The group have said "Northern Rivers Intrepid Landcare are stoked to present: 'Creeks 'n' Grass' - our official Launch. The event follows on from 'Weeds 'n' Waves' which kicked off last year as an introduction to Intrepid Landcare in the Northern Rivers. Over the past two months, our team of young leaders have been working alongside the very supportive Landcare Networks across the Northern Riivers to co-create and design the kind of fun we want to have while making a difference, learning and meeting rad new friends!"
