Grants for small projects in the RV Council areaRVC logo

Richmond Valley Council's Community Financial Assistance Program opened today Monday 4 September.

Community organisations or groups with interesting ideas for community projects valued between $100 and $5,000 are encouraged to apply.

Kyogle office2 Are you seeking an office space in Kyogle? 

In July this year the Border Ranges Richmond Valley Landcare Network officially settled in the building that has housed the Northern Landcare Support Services for many years. This transition is an exciting new era bringing with it some changes to the way we operate and to the services available.

 

 

The office is open for Landcare enquiries on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 2pm. If you haven't found us yet come along and familiarize yourself with the abundance of Landcare resources available.

 

 

In order to ensure that our door remains open into the future, BRRVLN has opened up a new office space in the building available for rent. If this office is of interest to you, please pop in and explore the space and discuss your needs with us.

nrcf logo Northern Rivers Community Foundation Small Grants 

This grant opportunity is available to incorporated, not-for-profit organisations in the Northern Rivers region who and have Deductible Gift Recipient DGR, or can work with a suitable organisation with DGR status.

If you have a social, environmental and cultural project that supports community wellbeing you can apply for:

  • A small grant of up to $15,000 and/or
  • A major grant for up to $25,000

The Grants Round opened on August 22nd and closes September 19th. Program guidelines and the application form will be available for download from the NRCF website

 

Small Grants for Rural Communities Grants - apply now  frrr logo

The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) are offering grants of up to $5,000 through their Small Grants stream for projects and activities that offer clear public benefit for communities in rural, regional or remote Australia. Priority is given to communities of 10,000 or fewer.

Biodiversity efforts in the Lismore LGA community acknowledged LCC biodiversity awards

Winners of the inaugural Lismore Biodiversity Awards were announced on August 25th during an awards ceremony at the Lismore City Bowling Club. The new awards night is part of the Biodiversity Management Strategy and a commitment from Lismore Council to thank people in the community who are acting to improve the local environment.

Good News Story- Congratulations to Friends of the Koala! aus ethical

On a very competative field of grant applicants to Australian Ethical's Community Grants Scheme, our Northern Rivers local Friends of the Koala have been included as 1 of the 17 winners of this grant. This is a great achievement as these grants supports projects both nation wide and internationally and the calibre of the competition was very high.

 

The supported Friends of the Koala project will establish an on-site triage and pathology facility at the Friends of the Koala’s Care Centre in East Lismore, adding great value to their 30 years of licensed voluntary koala rehabilitation. LCC RLIIn Lismore City Council area? Its time to start planning your project!

The Rural Landholder Initiative has been underway since 2015 and has proven to be a great success. Grants available within this initiative have now expanded with a welcomed addition of $100,000 from the NSW Environment Trust. The program is now open for expressions of interest with applications closing January 25th 2018 giving you ample time to plan out your project. 

 

The grant funding can provide labour and materials to regenerate high conservation value native vegetation, including endangered ecological communities, threatened species habitat and riparian land. This also includes off-stream stock watering and fencing systems, weed control and the planting of native tree trees.
